A NEW STUDY FOR LENT
This will be offered by the Thursday evening (7 – 9 pm) Women’s Bible Study group. It will be for six weeks beginning February 23. The study is entitled, “Moved by the Spirit:
God’s Power at Work in His People.” Women of the parish are encouraged to join us in this short study that will draw you into the heart of the action of the Holy Spirit in the New
Testament. The insightful texts and discussion questions will enable you to make a mini-retreat in preparation for Easter. The study guide is $9 and includes a full Scripture text to be studied, a short commentary, questions for discussion, wisdom from the saints, historical background, meaning of Greek words, and stories of faith from contemporary people. No experience is needed; just an interest in
learning more about the Bible and deepening our faith. Preparation for the group meeting will take about one hour each week. Call Kathy Hynes at 402-292-7733 by January 29 to register for this study. Books will then be ordered and you will pay February 23, the first night of class.
