Lenten—Easter
Bible Study

Beginning Tuesday, March 13, St. Matthew Parish will offer a
7-week study of The Passion and
Resurrection Narratives of Jesus

This study concentrates only on this particular part of the narrative in
each of the four gospels.  We will study
how each of the evangelists tells of the events surrounding Jesus’ passion,
death and resurrection.  What can we
learn about how each community was shaped by the gospel message?  How does the core of our faith incorporate
both the pain of the cross and the hope of the resurrection into daily living?  This is an excellent way to deepen your own
response to the gospel during Lent and the Easter season.

Classes will be on Tuesday evenings from 7:00-8:30 PM in the
St. Matthew school library (middle building).
Note: No class on Tuesday, March
27 because of the parish mission.
We
use the Little Rock Scripture Study series and the Collegeville commentary,
published by Liturgical Press.  It
requires about 15-30 minutes a day of reading and answering study
questions.  Cost of the study set is approximately $13.
