There will not be a reception after the ceremony so that all participants and family members may leave at their own pace, and enjoy their own celebration.
t PHOTOGRAPHER
In keeping with the religious nature of this important event, we are asking that NO photographs, video, or electronic devices be used during the celebration of this special ceremony. YOU MAY NOT TAKE PICTURES ONCE THE SERVICE STARTS.
Professional photos will be taken after the rehearsal; first will be a group photo, followed by individual photos for those who wish. Therefore, the candidates and sponsors (if they wish to have pictures taken) should come to the rehearsal dressed in their Confirmation attire. This greatly simplifies the otherwise chaotic pre-mass situation!
t BLESSING OF GIFTS
All items you wish to be blessed should be brought to a special blessing party after the 9:30 a.m. Mass on TBD. The candidates will undoubtedly receive gifts after the Confirmation ceremony, so this will allow for all items to be blessed at once. The candidates will simply bring them to Mass and Father will bless them after the Mass.
t ATTIRE FOR CONFIRMATION
Boys: Long sleeve dress shirt with tie, and dress pants with dress shoes NO JEANS OR TENNIS SHOES.
Girls: A dress of nice fabric (no denim) if you must wear a skirt and top it must cover the midriff completely ALL must be worn at least knee length, no low cut, no slits above the knee, no low cut or off the shoulder dresses, no sheer see through material, and nice dress shoes, skin colored nylons with no seams, finger nail polish neutral color.. Shoulders must be covered. No slacks.
BOTH - All visible tattoos need to be covered – use band aids or makeup if necessary, no visible body piercing other than ears with one pair only. Boys may not have earrings.
We ask that the sponsors follow the same dress code as the Confirmation candidates please.
