OCTOBER 8TH – ROSARY WORKSHOP
Our Rosary Workshop is scheduled during the Month of the Rosary and is a great time for the students to get the help they need to make a rosary for themselves and for their Confirmation sponsor. They may use the supplies provided or purchase their own beads. Michael's and Hobby Lobby have a very nice selection. You will need 53 Hail Mary beads, 6 Our Father beads, and 1 crucifix per rosary.
OCTOBER 8TH & 9TH - Confirmation Ceremony of Investiture at either the 5 pm Mass or 11:30 am Mass Parents & Candidates pick and attend Mass for the Ceremony
OCTOBER 29TH – GRETNA SHINE
The Holy Family Shrine, located off I-80 near Gretna, is an optional field trip designed to help the kids get a start on spiritual hours. We will attend mass at 10am and afterward spend an hour or so learning about, and answering questions related to the shrine. Lunch at Lansky's on the way home. 1 spiritual hour.

From Nov. 2-Nov. 16 the kids will spearhead a service project to benefit our deployed troops. They will be collecting leftover Halloween candy to be boxed up and sent overseas in time for Christmas.
NOVEMBER 5TH – RETREAT 8:30 – 4:00 MOVIE NIGHT
On retreat night, following the 5pm mass we will have an optional movie night worth 1 spiritual hour. “How to Train Your Dragon” will be our feature as it is loaded with examples of our Catholic teachings.
NOVEMBER 30TH – GIFT REPORT DUE
During November the students will select their Gift of the Holy Spirit. We will give them class time to work on the rough draft. The final report will be due on Nov. 30.

The Christmas holiday is a good time for the students to be in touch with their sponsors. There is a list of questions on the Red Folder that student and sponsor should answer together. The final sponsor report will be due on Jan.11, 2012.

Trinity Heights Shrine in Sioux City, Iowa will be an optional activity for which students may earn 4 spiritual hours.

Rehearsal will be 9 a.m. April 28, 2012 for both the candidate and their sponsor. Photos will be taken after rehearsal so please dress as you will for Confirmation.
